By the end of this course, you will be able to

• Understand of the basic aspects about polymer enhanced oil recovery
• Understand the main effective parameters affected on the modeling of polymer enhanced oil recovery
• Built the different simulation sensitivities cases of polymer enhanced oil recovery with changing the polymer concentration, polymer slug volumes, polymer properties like degradation and shear rates
• Built the different simulation sensitivities cases of polymer enhanced oil recovery with taking the effect of polymer with rocks like polymer adsorption and residual oil saturation reduction

By the end of this course, you will be able to build, using the CMG application, the following cases:

Testing the black oil model for the do nothing (DN) case, then simulating water injection or gas injection to compare the effect on oil recovery with the DN case

2. Creating hydraulic fracturing (basics)
3. Creating a steam injection case and running it using CMG STARS
4. Creating a Cyclic Steam Stimulation Case (CSS)
5. Creating a Steam-Assisted Gravity Draining Case (SAGD)
